Teaching “my kids”

My most fulfilling volunteer experience is with Music for Life Creative Arts Therapy, in which I work with children with developmental disabilities in a music therapy program (short clip here).

Through teaching “my kids” music and theatre for 2+ years, I’ve been able to witness their growth first-hand, and I’ve absolutely loved working with them throughout high school. I invite you to watch more of our shows here:Musical Theater Videos

Other Community Service

I’ve always wanted to help my community using my aptitude for music. During the COVID quarantine, I performed in more than 10 outdoor concerts in the hopes of encouraging community members to stay positive. Also during quarantine, I enjoyed teaching free music theory and voice lessons over zoom to younger students in my school district.

Throughout my time in high school, I’ve volunteered for the YMCA, and served as a camp counselor teaching music, dance, and STEM to girls from underserved communities through the GATE (Greenwich Academy Talent and Enrichment) program.
